Friends of Genadeland is a growing network of people and businesses that are able to support in multiple ways – from funding, to internship opportunities, to marketing support, trust fund to support further education for our students, spiritual backing, and many more.
Our Initiatives
We have various running and new initiatives through which we equip our youth and their families with knowledge, skills, vision, and experience to enable them to successfully empower their community and pursue excellence. These initiatives catalyze economic opportunity, spiritual growth, and social cohesion in our community.

Our Story
HOW WE STARTED
Genadeland started in 2017 focusing mainly on empowering the youth from the disadvantaged communities of our town with a year of character-building, skills development and exposure.
From the outset we also intended Genadeland to be closely involved in the community life of Victoria West, providing a well-managed and well-governed environment able to spawn other community projects and small businesses.
OUR COMMUNITY
At Genadeland we focus our attention on the local community of Victoria West and surrounding communities. Due to the rural location, our community is often challenged with access to various resources.
Our economic context is largely shaped by the farming community where the focus is mainly on wool and meat production. Unemployment, high incidence of teenage pregnancy, racial tensions, alcohol dependency, growing drug dependency, and broken families mark the social context of our community. Most households struggle to make ends meet. Neglected education is prevalent in many rural South African communities and this is no different for Victoria West.

Genadeland is a Section 18A-approved NPC. Genadeland is governed by a board of directors which consists of four members.
